Description¶
Utility nodes are helper nodes that are not part of a simulation.

With this node, you can add paintable Carbon Cloth attributes to the geometry, initialize them and copy point attribute values from any valid source attribute to the chosen destination attributes.

Cloth material node which stores Carbon Cloth material parameters.

Scatter points on a surface and additionally enforce a minimum distance between any two generated points.

Utility node to process garments coming from virtual garment design tools.

Utility node to deform geometry based on another geometry. This is similar to the built-in Houdini Cloth Capture + Cloth Deform SOP nodes.

Utility node to lay out all panels/islands of a mesh. This is usually used to lay out panels resulting from a Carbon UVs To Points if every panel is centered around the origin.

Utility node to visualize mesh (panel) names. This node is mainly used in context with the Carbon Garment Processor and visualizes the name of each island / panel of its input geometry.

Utility node to apply weights to input meshes. This node can be used as fourth input for the Carbon Tissue nodes to blend between targets.

Generate and update geometry used by Carbon Plumage nodes. This node needs a geometry as input which has point attributes that describe groom vector, feather type and feather scale.

Utility node to deform surface geometry based on tetrahedral geometry. This is similar to the built-in Houdini Cloth Capture + Cloth Deform SOP nodes and the Carbon Mesh Deformer, with the big difference that it is specifically targeted at volumetric driver geometry. It preserves the volumetric information, which is crucial to avoid corrupted or overlapping deformed geometry.
